I recently discovered this author, and holy smokes, she is very good. I like the romance elements in her story, but she never for a second, forgets or leaves off her plot. She is a very good writer, very suspenseful. She's given me a few sleepless nights. I can't wait until I get my hands on more of her books. She is just that good. Her characters are real and she has a way of bringing out their emotions. Whether it is panic, pain, fear, love, joy, or sadness, she really makes her characters human and gives them delicious flaws and conflicts to deal with. I hope that if you haven't read her, that you'll have the chance soon.

I just recently read Final Scream by her. Very suspenseful and good romance. I will be reading more by her ASAP.

Iew! I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you on this one. Her endings don't even make sense and she tries too hard to string you along thus forgetting to tie up some loose ends. For example, In the book "Deep Freeze," the murderer is someone you don't even know about. I don't want to give away the ending just in case you haven't read it but I was very disappointed in that book. There was something else about that book which annoyed me but I can't think of what it was at the moment. I think it might have been something that didn't fall in with the plot of the story. In her book "The Night Before," the main character has a Multiple Personality Disorder where her second personality is her twin sister who died a few years before the story begins. However, you don't find out about it till the end so Lisa Jackson sort of makes you think that the murderer might be the twin which you're supposed to think is still alive. According to other stuff I've read, MPD's only show their personalities when the main personality is either asleep or has past out. At the beginning of this book, this does not happen and yet her twin is still doing/saying things while the main character cleans her house. It isn't till the end that Lisa Jackson shows them alternating which doesn't make sense. lol I guess you have to read it to see what I mean. There was this other book I read by her which was about how this little girl gets kidnapped and grows up to look for her family but I forget the title. That book was so drawn out I ended up skipping to the end just to see how the ending turned out. I thought it was a bit sappy myself cause the guy and the girl do get to stay together but they already wanted each other even before they found out that they weren't related which I found a bit sick. lol So in my oppinion, I've read authors who are way better and who are more consistent than lisa Jackson.

I've read fatal burn, and I thought it was great, deep freeze, which I started, isn't as good. I want to read more by her too.

I love her so much. I am reading every book and enjoyed all of them. She is great and the action is definitely a plus. I read deep freeze and fatal burn bakc to back and they were great.

Like I said, I've only read the one book so far, but it was good enough to want to read more. I belong to two e-mail lists for the discussion of books, and one thing I have learned is that to each his own. Books that some people love are hated by others. Authors that some people hate and wouldn't read anything by are the favorite authors of others.

I agree, to each his own, but I am interested in hearing opinions.

Oi, please don't spoil the ending of books for those of us who are interested in this author but who haven't had the opportunity to read some of the books that were mentioned. The Night Before was very good, but please at least put a spoiler tag in the post if you are going to wreck the ending. *grin*

Lisa Jackson absolutely rocks! She's one of my favorite authors; I look everywhere for her books. I'm looking for "if she only knew" if anyone has found it please let me know. In august, "almost dead", (a companion to that book is coming out and i want to read them both!

lol I'm really sorry about that. hahah I wasn't going to spoil it for you guys but if I didn't, I wouldn't have gotten my point across. lol But it's cool you enjoy her books. I did sort of like "The Morning After" only because the thought of being buried alive scares me shitless! heheheh I read "The night Watcher" by John Lutz and thought it was a pretty good book. But I was very disappointed with his other stuff. lol Still looking for some good suspense authors so if you know of any, I'm open to reading some more new stuff. lol Like you all say, to each his own and all that! hehe

Meka

I thought of another author who writes good romantic/suspense novels. Her name is Suzanne Forster. I'm not sure if she has written anything lately. I know that Lisa Jackson has a book titled The Morning After, but so does Suzanne Forster. I read it a couple years ago and it was really good.
